If your front stubs have excessive movement even after tightening your king pin then your bearings need replacing.

Useful Hints

 Removing a stub axle - Firstly disconnect the tracking rod that will be connected to the stub axle, determine the size of the nut and bolt and remove track rod end bolt retaining and remebering the location and quantity of any special spacers, nows the stub axle will be free to rotate without moving any of the other steering components. Determine the size of spanner required to remove the main stub axle bolt, known as the king pin bolt, this may be either a hex head or a cap head which will require an allen key. Undo the bottom nut and remove retaining any washers and spacers remember the order of removal, the king pin is now ready for removal, using a nylon mallet lightly tap the bolt so the king pin bolt starts to drift out, being carefull when removing as there maybe spacers fitted so remember what order the spacers are in, this will be invaluable when you come to refit, once the bolt is removed the stub axle will remove with ease NOTE - CHECK FOR ANY CRACK TO WELDS OR ANY UNSERVICABLE DAMAGE
